How easy is it to steal from you?

From many people apparently it is easy. I’m not saying that cramming is necessarily stealing, don’t get me wrong. I also don’t mean to say that any phone company that has unfortunate billing mistakes is necessarily cramming.

I’m just saying that it’s very easy to add some small charges on your bill that you won’t notice because who’s checking these bills anyway, and some 2 or 6 dollars might always be something we spent and forgot about because it’s oh so small an amount, but hey – it added up to $50 million in the case of Verizon.

So when was the last time you checked your statements and verified that all the 50-cents charges there are really something you spent?

You can find some helpful tips on how to avoid cramming here.
