Donations – the followup

I wrote a couple of weeks ago about donations to Wikipedia

Well, here’s the followup.

According to the Wikimedia Foundation, they’ve got more than 16 millions of dollars from more than half a million of donors, with average donation of $22. I personally hope this will keep Wikipedia up and running for another several years, for our all benefit. But, if you have some spare change – do donate, the donation is always possible and welcome, not only at the end of the year.

Information is power, and the more free and independent information we can get (from Wikipedia, among other sources), the less power will the large corporations have over us.
