Romney says Obama supporters don’t pay taxes. Well, I support Obama, and I pay income taxes. More than Romney in fact, Romney paid barely 15% while I pay around 25%, not to count the high California taxes. Is it because I’m an engineer and actually create stuff?
And I know, for a fact, that I built no bridges and no roads. Yet, they do contribute to my success, just as they contribute to Romney’s success. And I’m pretty sure he hasn’t built any either.
So who’s right? Obama, that says “Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that.”. Is he right? You bet he is.
Romney says: “These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax”. Mr. Romney, have you checked if these are Obama supporters? Because the fact is that many of the lower income-lower education people are in fact very conservative, very religious, and consistently vote Republican. Even if the people they vote for say “My job is not to worry about those people”.
So when you go out and vote in November, do remember who build that, and who paid for that.
